3D Measurement of Ski Surface Structures

In close cooperation with the technology team of the DSV, led by chief technologist Uwe Bellmann, GFM is supporting the DSV Technology Center Bad Reichenhall in the optimization of grinding  structures for the sliding surfaces of cross-country and jumping skis for the national skiing teams.

3D Measurement of Alpine Ski Edges

Edge form and radius are important performance features of alpine ski, especially in the racing competition. In close cooperation with Wintersteiger inc. in Ried/Innkreis, a world leading supplier of ski preparation technology, 3D measuring devices by GFM are used in the measurement of edge geometries for alpine ski.

3D Measurement of Luge Sled Runners

It din't take the great sucess of our german luge teams around Silke Otto and Georg Hackl to realize that the runners of racing sleds are an essential ingrdient for performance. In close cooperation with national racing coach Tomas Schwab, GFM carried out substantial reserach on the 3d charcterization of luge sled runners.
