Triple savings with the new MikroCADpremium

The precise rounding of tool cutting edges provides for higher cutting speeds as well as longer service life, thereby saving money in cash.
In comparison with tactile systems, optical measurement also saves significant operational costs (wear of test pins).
GFM's new MikroCADpremium precision 3D-camera introduces major innovations towards lighter, more portable and universally mountable systems and is even more affordable than its predecessors. The sensor head, with its newly developed blue LED light source offers lower power consumption as well as improved optical resolution and robustness against environment light. A Magnesium chassis saves further weight and provides for an easy mounting on robot arms, multi-sensor coordinate measurement systems or tool presetters.

Fringe projection systems by GFM are renown for their extraordinary speed and high resolution. Surfaces are scanned area wise. Precise 3D scans can be per-formed within less than a second.
GFM's proprietary concept uses DLPTM micro mirror projection devices by Texas Instruments. Their digital modulation allows for an unmatched linearity, while the metallized silicon chip provides for efficiency, evenness and thermal stability.
MikroCADpremium by GFM comes with complete software packages, for topology measurements as there are evenness, structure, roughness, or for the fast and efficient radius measurement of cutting edges, a technology saving customers in the tooling money in cash.
The sensors can also be used together with LabviewTM, automating laboratories as well as production measurements by an easily learned graphical interface.
The cutting edge device has a measuring area of 2.4x1.8x1mm.
